Wuxi Tune originated through collaboration with guzheng player and composer Siyi Chen, who shared stems from her jazz reinterpretation of a centuries-old melody. I deconstructed the material—chopping, flipping, and reprocessing the tracks—integrating UK garage rhythms into the arrangement.

Melodic lines were reassigned across instruments, with phrases sliced and redistributed between saxophone, piano, and guzheng, resulting in an intricate collage that is rhythmically choppy yet texturally fluid.
